The Youth football season begins on August 6th at the Starion Sports Complex.
All registered players will be able to pick up their football equipment at Starion Sports Complex on one of the following Equipment Pickup Dates:
June 2nd from 6:30-7:30pm
June 24th from 6:30-7:30pm
July 28th from 6:30-7:30pm
August 4th at 5 pm
Check-in and weigh-in begins at 5 pm on August 4th with the pre-season training camp beginning at 6:30. Anyone that has not picked up equipment should plan to get there at 5 to get equipment before camp starts. Jerseys with numbers will be issued to players to wear over their shoulder pads during preseason camp and then will be returned when they are issued the team they will play for this upcoming season.
Players will need to bring all their issued football equipment for the preseason camp and should have a mouthguard, water bottle, and football cleats or tennis shoes.
A parent meeting will take place during the first day of camp so parents should plan to stay with their player at camp until the parent meeting is over. MTC Board members will share information and answer parent questions at that time.
All grades 3rd - 6th attend the preseason camp together. This 3 day camp is put on by Mandan Braves Head Coach, Todd Sheldon and his team. All parent volunteer coaches will be learning about the program during these 4 days and will be down on the field getting to know all the youth players. All other parents are asked to please sit in the stands during the camp.
Aug. 4th - weigh-in and check-in from 5 to 6:15 with preseason camp running from 6:30-8:00 pm at Starion Sports Complex
Aug. 5th - weigh-in and check-in at 6:15 (for those that miss day 1) with preseason camp running from 6:30-8:00 pm at Starion Sports Complex
Aug. 6th - 6:30-8:00 pm at Starion Sports Complex
After this day of camp all volunteer coaches will meet and determine all the teams. Parents will then be notified where and when their team will practice.
Aug. 7th - 6:30-8:00 pm at Starion Sports Complex this will be the First Team Practice and Team Pictures will be taken that day. Picture info will be handed out in the parent handouts at the first day of camp.
Practices are determined by your child’s coach and will be discussed the evening of August 7th with all parents.
Normally teams practice two or three nights each week. Typically 3rd and 4th grade practice twice a week and 5th and 6th practice 3 times a week. (Monday, Tuesday or Thursdays)
Practices usually start around 6 or 6:30 and go for 60 to 90 minutes. It depends on the volunteer coaches schedule and they will let all the parents of their players know on August 9th.
Football Games (generally start between 10am and 1pm and last approximately 90 minutes – most coaches want their kids there about 30 to 45 minutes before kickoff to insure they are warmed up/ready to play).

Aug. 24th - Games at Starion Sports Complex. 3th and 4th play on the practice field. 5th and 6th play on Starion.
Sept. 7th - Games at Starion Sports Complex. 3th and 4th play on the practice field. 5th and 6th play on Starion.
Sept. 14th - Games at Starion Sports Complex. 3th and 4th play on the practice field. 5th and 6th play on Starion.
Sept. 21st - Games at Starion Sports Complex. 3th and 4th play on the practice field. 5th and 6th play on Starion.
Sept. 28th - Games at Starion Sports Complex. 3th and 4th play on the practice field. 5th and 6th play on Starion.
Oct. 5th Playoffs - Games at Starion Sports Complex. The playoff games will be held later in the day and official game times and opponents will be determined after the final regular season game.

Mandan Touchdown Club will email all details of our coaches clinic to all that express interest in coaching. All coaches are required to be Safesport Certified. This cost is reimbursed by the Mandan Touchdown Club. All coaches that are selected to coach a team will be reimbursed registration fees for their player.
All teams will be scheduled to run the 50/50 Raffle during one of the High School Football games, please show up at games 1/2 hour before game time. All participants will meet their coach at the Sports Complex that day. Players will wear their game jerseys as they sell the raffle tickets. Players and coaches do not have to pay a gate fee for the game they work.
